Crazy Mermaid Nailart

You'd probably wonder at the name, LOL, a dear friend of my on instagram suggested the name, as its just like mermaid scales going haywire and the colors too proving so! This was a fun nailart to do, as I experimented with it some new things!
If in your mind you are praising me for being so a good color filler, then please hold your thoughts, as this technique is called REVERSE STAMPING

All you need to know about REVERSE STAMPING:

 Reverse stamping is a technique which is the next level of stamping, as it allows you to play with colors and be neat at the same time while obtaining the precision of nail stamping.

How to do Reverse Stamping?

Well to get to this stage you must be clear with stamping, about which you can read at my other blog posts. So if you are read further..
After you successfully stamp.. and have the design on your stamper fill it with colors, i use a dotting tool,
Most importantly DON'T BE AFRAID TO COLOR ON THE BORDER LINE. its okay because its reverse stamping ..even if the color escapes the free space and goes a bit on the outline, it does not matter.
After you finish coloring give the design some rest for a couple of seconds, seal it with a nice top coat,
NOTE ALL TOP COATS DO NOT WORK WITH REVERSE STAMPING I personally use Art- Top Coat by El-corazon.
This time give it a couple of minutes to rest. roughly after 10 minutes, squish the stamper the top coat shoulve dried and a bit of the transparent layer ( the whole thin sheet formed is called a decal ) would start to rise.
Using tweezers gently pick it up and remove the whole decal, in a single peel. GENTLY.
There might be a possibility that the decal has not completely dried so leave it for a few more seconds and retry.
Or if you feel it is dry try peeling from a different end
Now you would realise that the color that escaped the filling space doesnt matter when you reverse it because the stamping line border appears first! So its okay to be a bit messy! YAY!

A tip:
 Let the decal after peeling settle down a bit, and after a minute or two dab it after placing it as per your desire on the nail, immediately placing it may develop wrinkles and doesnt let you readjust once it touches the surface of your nail. Whereas giving it two minutes cuts these disadvantages!

Jeweled Nails Nailart

Bling Bling! All girls love the prismatic attraction of jewellery, so I thought of bringing it to nails! I had received a lot of stuff from Born Pretty Store, as much as they look a work of art, demanding perfection and intricacy, that much I advocate Its a child's play or a beginner's nailart

HERE'S WHY: 

All you got to do is apply a base color, I chose this from the Kaleidoscope collection of El-corazon. The key here is to let it dry completely, and to stick up the jewels, use a fast drying top coat, the reason for that is that it tends to have a thinner formula and quick dryness prevents sloppiness or wrinkles in the nailart.

So stick the jewel in the order you like, I played with the blues that I have! There can be so so many more combinations.

When all is done, seal with a final layer of top coat for the ultimate look. It is important to know when to stop in such nailarts, my extreme nails are blank had I decorated them too, the show stopper nails would kind of be diluted which was against my intention making it simple easy and yet a SHOW STOPPER.

Gradient Nailart

Hello there! Today I picked up, the most loved nailart which every Nailartist OUGHT TO TRY! Gradients or Ombre or Shade its all the same.! I did  simple gradient and added NYX glitter to the look!
The Yellow is from Dance Legend whereas Green and Blue from El-corazon
So lets analyze the keys to get to this:

 HOW TO MAKE A PERFECT GRADIENT:

1. Liquid Latex/ Nail Barrier/ Cuticle Defender is a MUST
I say this first and foremost because before starting one you must have your cuticles covered, an acetone or remover clean up is just NOT an option, because it is time consuming and even more importantly doesnt give the desired neatness. It can sometimes even destroy the PERFECTNESS of your Nailart.

2. Proper shade choice
 If you analyze a gradient you would know it is all about getting all shades, and proper transition into another. Therefore the more variety of closely related colors you choose, the better gradient you will get.
EXAMPLE: In this image I didnot go from Yellow to Blue directly, as I know colors yellow and blue mix to form green.. yellow to green is a fair transition and so is green to blue, using a linking color adds depth to your gradient, and it is way more advisable than using totally weird combinations.

3. Base Color
I have seen people attempting gradients on NAKED NAILS. That is certainly NOT the appropriate way, as it wastes the polish, as well as does not give ideal results. The base color should always be the LIGHTEST color of the gradient, that means in this one I used yellow as the base color, as it is easier for the darker shade to dominate the lighter one.

4. Precautions with the sponge
Also keep in mind that first let your base color dry properly then use the sponge for gradient, otherwise it can become all sloppy and mushy.
 To obtain the desired results in a gradient do not only add to the sponge the shades you want to add but the base shade again! The answer to the WHY on this is, otherwise the colors shall dominate and hide your base.
You must know that in 1 go only dab twice or thrice, then reapply the shades and redo it, many people complain of unevenness or withering of nail polish in the middle of a gradient, the reason for that is OVER DABBING. after 2-3 dabs give the nail a rest for 3 seconds, as the colors settle in and go over and over until desired results are achieved.
Ideally 3-4 times dabbing(2-3 every time) should get you to where you want to be, by no means cross 6, otherwise it shall be a wasted effort.

Rhinestone Nailart

I know I cant say that but I have too, Isnt this perfect? Daaamn, *pats my own back* my hands look so model-ish. Well, well, I do have to acknowledge the amazing products that enabled me to do it.

1.BOW POLISH: Yes, It was one of my first times trying bow, and this by far is my favourite Bow Polish (because of the color changing look it gives, my index finger shows that effect properly and for those of you who dont know, people call this effect as "chameleon") Plus the flakies too have some reputation to keep, to add fervor to the looks!

The small metal balls decorations you see are my go to goodies! I can sway them a bit and obtain the perfect look for my nails! This design holds more value because of the straight line I made using them, as that gives them a longer look
and the extreme fingers just couldnt be plain. complimented them too with some glam.


The magical waters you see in there filled in blue are nothing but glitter! round small glitter, I got from Born Pretty Store! Don't they add an unparalleled depth to the nailart?

Houndstooth Nailart

Hey guys! Welcome to the Revamped version of ILMP!
Lots of stuff cooking up :)
I wanted my first nailart to come up here be my fav! (just kidding I find it neater than others) The base color is a lovely shade from Dance Legend, the formula is super smooth the pic shows 2 coats of the polish, the brush has a great application as it covers my nail length and the cuticle curve properly, which is important while choosing your favourite brand.

The gorgeous stamping you see here is credited to two of the best brands I know, for stamping
1. El-corazon: Black Stamping polish to be acknowledged for the great great neatness of the design by not only picking up, but also printing upon the nail.

2. Moyra: The stamping plate belongs to Moyra (FABRICS COLLECTION) It has a wide variety of designs on a single palette and by far my favourite brand for stamping. The reason I prefer it over other brands is that because I have a fairly long nail length, it covers it with ease, and decently, whereas with my length Born Pretty Plates donot serve the purpose.
